Period Styles: Georgian and Regency
The Georgian era extended from 1714-1830 with the Regency period from 1811-1820. Georgian and Regency domestic stained glass was usually in clear glass in a repeat or symmetrical pattern. The clear glass was handmade at the time and had a lively quality that 'wobbles' as your eye travels around! Image ge07b is an example of modern handmade glass giving a similar effect.
