The customer wanted a country garden feel for a London home and chose swallows swooping through trailing roses with clusters of irises below. In the top left of the fanlight is a nest with chick peeking out and a swallow flies up to to feed it with a meal worm. As the detail below shows the roses are a mix of glasses both old and new, chosen for their colour and reflective properties so that different bits light up at different times of the day.
